Frequently Asked Questions

Product Specs:

What material are your yard signs? Do you offer other material types?

  • Our most popular yard signs are made of corrugated plastic. The corrugated plastic is industry standard and is 4 millimeters (.157 inches) thick. This material provides an excellent combination of affordability and durability. We do offer Poly bag signs and Cardboard signs alternative yard signs as well. For those looking for hard plastic or metal yard signs we would recommend our rigid plastic or aluminum materials. These materials can be displayed in a variety of ways and offer a more permanent signage solution.
  • What is corrugated plastic?

  • Corrugated plastic is what almost all lawn signs are made of. Other names for the same materials include corplast, coroplast, and sometimes even plastic cardboard. Technically speaking, it is a twinwall plastic that has fluting in the middle of two plastic sheets. Corrugated plastic is often made from polypropylene. Other uses of polypropylene beyond signage include reusable packaging, plastic containers, pet cages and more.
  • Do you offer wire stakes or h-frames with your yard signs?

  • Do you offer wire stakes or h-frames with your yard signs? Yes, we offer wire stakes (also called h-frames or step stakes) with our yard signs. These terms are actually interchangeable and simply refer to the metal frame that can be used to post the sign on soft surfaces such as lawns. The width of these frames (10”) actually dictates that your sign be at least 10” wide. These stakes or frames are made from 9 gauge steel.
  • Can I order double sided yard signs?

  • Can I order double sided yard signs? Yes, you can order single or double sided yard signs. To order double sided yard signs you simply need to select the option when designing your sign on our design tool. For signs that have the same design on both sides of the sign nothing else is required.
  • What if the back side of my sign is different from my front?

For signs that have a different design on both sides of the sign please send us the file for the back side of the sign before purchasing. This is common when the lawn sign will be used for directional purposes and features some kind of arrow. We’ll make sure that regardless of what side the sign is seen from the arrow is pointing in the right direction.

Do you offer yard signs with velcro?

We can add velcro to the sign and we often do so when the yard sign is being attached to an a-frame or sandwich board. However, we do not currently offer this option on our site. If this is something you would like us help you with, please contact us.

Do you print 1, 2, 3, Ect. or Full color signs?

We do both. Yard signs printed in full color with UV ink, And Screen Printed yard signs. Therefore we can get you a better price of the sign.

    Do you have bulk pricing?

Yes, our pricing reflects any kind of bulk purchasing starting at 25 signs. Assuming all of your signs are exactly the same. For extremely large orders please contact us to inquire about the potential of further discounts.

What are standard or common sizes for yard signs?

What are standard or common sizes for yard signs? The most common size of yard sign is 24”x18”. This is the size of most political yard signs. Other commons sizes include 24”x12”, 18”x12”, 36”x18” and 2’x2’, 4’x4’ and 4’x8’.

Do you only offer standard sizes?

We offer any custom size yard sign you might need. When you are choosing a custom size, please keep in mind that our wire stakes are 10” wide, so any sign narrower than that would not work with the h-stakes. Also, our maximum dimension is 96”. Thus, anything within those parameters is an available option for your custom yard sign.

What is the life span of yard signs?

The life span of our corrugated plastic yard signs is 2+ years with proper placement and care. Yard signs are designed to be more of a temporary sign but can be used on more than one occasion if used and stored properly. For longer lasting exterior signs we recommend rigid plastic and aluminum.

Can I order custom shaped yard signs?

Yes, you can cut your yard signs to any shape you want them to be in. We’ve had previous customers cut directional yard signs into the shape of an arrow and they turn out great. Notwithstanding, our recommendation is that if you intend to have your signs cut that you order yard signs with very basic shapes. Intricate designs and cuts are simply not compatible with a corrugated plastic yard sign.

What are the minimum and maximum dimensions for yard signs?

What are the minimum and maximum dimensions for yard signs? Our minimum dimension is 6” but we would recommend nothing lower than 10” so as to work with our wire stakes. Further, the maximum dimension is 96”.

Do you offer any other frames beyond 10”x30” wire stake?

We do offer other wire stake sizes (such as 10”x15”) and we offer metal sign riders. We also recommend using a rigid plastic or aluminum sign that can then be used with something such as a frame or even posts.

Do you offer blank yard signs?

We do offer blank yard signs. Simply contact us with your quanity. We get better discount from our coroplast supplier the more we order, and we will be happy to pass on the savings !

Do you offer different colors of coroplast?

Yes we do there are many different colors and thicknesses available, Even clear coroplast !! We can also print in full color

    Usage:

Is there a way to display the yard signs farther off the ground?

Is there a way to display the yard signs farther off the ground? The wire stakes are a standard width and height (10”x30”). Thus, your sign will be limited in some regards in how high off the ground you will be able to display it unless you install it using a different method. For those seeking to post signage that is higher off the ground we recommend either a washer and bolt, or using alternative exterior options such as rigid plastic and aluminum with posts of some sort. Banners, are also a flexible exterior option that can be used for one time events or even for a longer period of time.

    Do you rent yard signs?

No, we do not rent yard signs. While some sign companies will offer signs for rent for one-time events such as birthdays or family gatherings we only offer signs to be purchased.

Are your yard signs weather resistant?

Yes, our yard signs are weather resistant. Which means they are fade resistant. Though with any sign that is used for an extremely long period there will eventually be some fading. Short term, the signs will not streak or smear in rainy conditions. The greatest concern for those buying yard signs should be high winds or extreme weather. Due to the product itself these signs simply aren’t produced to withstand extreme weather. We recommend removing and storing yard signs if extreme weather is imminent or occurring.

Can yard signs be used indoors?

Yes, yard signs can be used indoors. While most people will use them outside for such events as a homecoming, baby announcement, directional purposes, etc. they can also be used indoors. When used inside they will be similar to ordering a rigid plastic or foam board sign. One major advantage to using a yard sign inside instead of one of our other materials is to save money for what would be a temporary need. Otherwise, we would recommend one of our other rigid materials as these materials will provide more options to display your sign.

Will my yard signs last long enough to use again?

In most cases yard signs are purchased for one or two time use. However, because they are made from corrugated plastic the yard signs do have some durability. With proper care and placement, and avoiding extreme weather, yard signs can be used for more than one occasion or event. See below for how you should store your yard signs in order to be able to use them more than once.

    Installation & Care:

How do I install yard signs? What are flutes?

Installation of yard signs is extremely easy. In most cases they will go in a lawn in front of a home or business. For these instances it is recommended that a h-frame or wire stakes be purchased as well. These frames will insert into the fluting (the hollow tunnels of the corrugated plastic) of the yard sign. For vertical signs the fluting will be vertical so that the h-frames can be inserted. Once the frame is inserted into the yard sign you simply need to step on the lower cross bar of the frame and insert it into the ground. Removing the yard signs is as easy as pulling the frame out of the ground and removing the sign from the frame itself.

Do I need to clean my yard signs? If so, how?

Your yard signs can be cleaned with a spray bottle and cloth or a wet rag. A simple wiping of the yard sign should clear away any mud, dirt or grime that may have accumulated on the sign.

How should I store my yard signs?

Your yard signs should be stored at room temperature in a dry location. Avoid places that are extremely hot and/or humid. Also, do not attempt to bend or roll your yard signs in any way. Once bent the yard signs will have a crease that will not go away. Before storing your yard signs remove the h-frames and place them nearby for future use. Be careful not to scratch the surface of your signs with the h-frames.
